I love these two ancient skills --cordage and plaiting. They're part of the foundation of human civilization, and they're pretty. I need to make many hundreds of yards of both for an upcoming project, so this is a call for helpers. I'll teach you both skills, and then after helping me for most of the day, I'll show you how to weave your own placemats from rush and other grasses. It's lovely work but repetitive, and while you need no experience, you do need to pay close attention to create work that is uniform. Space is limited each day to 4 people.
